  • We have a new meeting place!  The Mandarin Library will be starting some renovations this year and our meeting room will soon be turned into a storage area.  We had to look for some new accommodations, but luckily we found us a new place to meet.  It is at the Mount Carmel Gardens located just off of University Blvd.
     
  • We recently had an article in The Florida Times-Union.  See what our local newspaper is saying about our club.  An articled suitably titled "Hot Pursuit."

Our fall toy show went off better than expected.  A couple of days before the show we found out that there were two other toy and collectible shows scheduled in town the same weekend.  So attendance was a lot lower than anticipated.  However, there were plenty of deals going down.  There were people from just about all walks of life—some looking to complete their sets while others were searching for that ultimate redline.  Overall, I think everyone had a good time.
 

We learned a great deal from this experience.  We learned what to do, and better yet, what not to do.  We probably won't plan a show for this year, but if we get enough involvement we might set our sights for 2005.
